Using Setup Wizards

CallData includes two setup Wizards to help with configuring Call Cost Rules and adding users:

 

State Call Cost Rules
Extensions per Department

 

State Call Cost Rules

The State Call Cost Rules Wizard simplifies the creation of Call Cost Rules. From the main menu, go to Tools > Wizards > State Call Cost Rules to open the State Call Cost Rules Wizard.

 

Upon opening the wizard, you will see a window explaining what the wizard does. Click Yes to continue.

Enter the rate yor servicce provider will charge you  into the "Cost" fields. Enter the rate you wish to invoice into the "Charge Cost" fields.

After successfully applying the call cost rules, click Ok to close the wizard.

After successfully applying the Call Cost Rules, you will then be able to track & allocate phone expenses within your organization, verify charges from your phone service provider and create invoices.

 

Extensions per Department

The Extensions per Department Wizard makes managing your extensions easier by  organizing a range of extensions into a department (i.e. extensions 150-159 belong to the management department). To open the Extensions per Department Wizard, go to Tools > Wizards > Extensions per Department, from the main menu. This will open a dialog box informing you that the Wizard will move extensions into a specified department. Click Yes to continue.

Enter the range of extensions and select the department you want to move the extensions into (see below). After entering in the necessary information, click Save to move the extensions into the specified department.

 

This will move extensions 150-159 to the New york Management department.

After the Wizard has successfully moved the designated extensions into the specified department, CallData will display a message saying that the department data has been updated (see below).
