Supported Phone Systems
Supported Interfaces
CallData supports connecting to various phone systems using the following methods:
Protocols
| • | TCP/IP |
| o | A connection is made to the phone system digitally over a network connection. |
| • | Serial |
| o | A connection is made to the phone system's serial port. Usually, there is a buffer box connected to the phone system and the CallData server is connected to the buffer box. |
Data Transmission Formats
| • | Streaming |
| o | Data is sent (streamed) directly from the phone system to CallData. |
| • | ODBC - Internal Database |
| o | CallData reads data directly from within the phone systems internal database. |
| • | FTP - Flat file |
| o | The phone system uses the FTP protocol to send a flat file with the relevant data to CallData. |
| • | HTTP - Flat file |
| o | The phone system uses the HTTP protocol to send a flat file with the relevant data to CallData. |
Each phone system's section includes a Supported Interfaces section with a matrix detailing the supported interfaces for that particular phone system. In this example, CallData can collect streaming data using either a TCP/IP or a network connection.

The list of supported phone systems is continually growing. If your phone system is not listed, please contact IS Systems to see if your phone system is already supported. Even if CallData doesn't currently support your phone system, we're adding new systems regularly and are very open to working with end-users to support new phone systems.
Some reports may display missing or no data at all, depending on the phone system CallData is collecting data from. This is a result of non-standardized data formats being used across the wide spectrum of supported phone systems.
To check the report compatibility for a specific phone system, please refer to that phone system's section of this document.
