These are the minimum requirements to run the CallData service on a computer. If you will be running the CallData service on the same computer that will be hosting the SQL database, you will need to verify the minimum requirements for the SQL Server program that you will use.

If your business has a large volume of phone activity, it is recommended that you use a computer that exceeds the minimum requirements. In larger enterprise environments, the recommended configuration is to use a dedicated server for the CallData service and a dedicated SQL Server to host the database. For smaller & medium sized businesses, running the service and the SQL Server on the same computer should operate with acceptable performance.

Minimum Requirements:

Operating System: Windows XP, Vista, or Windows Server 2003/2008

RAM: 64 MB (128 MB recommended)

Software: Microsoft SQL 2005/2008 (Express, Standard, Workgroup, & Enterprise versions are supported)

Disk Space Requirements:

CallData Service: 10 MB

Microsoft SQL Server Express Edition 2008: 1.9 GB

Database: 10 MB per phone line (per trunk, not internal extension), per year

Total: 2 GB

Note:

The disk space requirement is an estimate and may vary depending on phone usage. The database disk space requirement is only applicable to the computer with SQL Server that will be hosting the database.
