While these are entirely optional, this list of alerts will help you to avoid data loss by notifying you immediately, instead of finding out there's a problem after the damage has been done.

Here's a list of recommended alerts:

911 Notification
Service has no Connection to Phone System
No Data from Phone System for X minutes
Service has no Connection to SQL Server

911 Notification

In the event that someone dials 911 emergency services, you can have CallData send an alert to management or whoever else needs to know.

1.Create a new alert and call it "911 Called" or something similar.
2.Enter in the email addresses of the individuals that need to be notified.
3.Select "Phone Number Called".
4.Set the Call Direction to Both.
5.Enter "911" for the number. If you have to dial a 9 or some other prefix to reach an outside line, enter the prefix in as well (i.e. 9911).
6.Enter 0 for all extensions
7.Enter the Alert Text.
8.Click the Save button.

Service has no Connection to Phone System

If the CallData service looses connection to the phone system, you can have CallData send an alert notifying the system administrator or whoever else needs to know.

2.Enter in the email addresses of the individuals that need to be notified.
3.Select "Service has no Connection to Phone System".
4.Enter the Alert Text.

No Data from Phone System for X minutes

If CallData still has a connection to the phone system, but it hasn't received any data for a predetermined amount of time, you can have CallData send an alert notifying the system administrator or whoever else needs to know.

1.Create a new alert and call it "No Data From Phone" or something similar.
2.Enter in the email addresses of the individuals that need to be notified.
3.Select "No Data from Phone System for X minutes".
4.Set the number of minutes in the "No incoming data for amount" field.
5.Specify when CallData will activate the alert (typical business hours) in the "This Alert is active on" section. Check the days and hours you want the alert to be active.
6.Enter the Alert Text.
7.Click the Save button.

Service has no Connection to SQL Server

If CallData is unable to connect to the SQL Server, then any phone activity that occurs while CallData isn't connected to the SQL Server won't be saved in the CallData database.

2.Enter in the email addresses of the individuals that need to be notified.
