Import Existing Call Records
This section explains the functions found in the Calls section of the Database Maintenance screen. These functions can be accessed from the main menu Tools > Database Maintenance or by clicking on the Server Options
icon on the Tools Toolbar.
Calls
Import Calls from External File
To delete old call records from the database, click the Delete Calls by Date
icon. This will open a window allowing you to choose a date from a calendar. After you have selected a date, click Yes to remove all the records prior to the selected date.
Import Calls From External File
This feature will import call details from an XML file or TSV file generated from your phone system. This can be used to add records to the CallData database after a new installation of CallData or in the event that the CallData service looses contact with the phone system and/or the SQL database.
To import call records into the CallData database, click the Import Calls From External File
icon. This will open a dialog box briefly explaining the function. Click Yes to continue. Navigate to the directory that you saved your XML or TSV file in, select the file and click the Open button. You will be prompted by CallData to verify that you want to continue with the import. Click Yes to start the import.

If records in the call log have been accidentally deleted, they can be restored from information saved in the
CallData Logfile. Clicking the Refresh Calls From Logfile
icon will open a calendar window. Select the date on the calendar that you want to restore call activity newer than. Click Ok to restore the records.
To remove records of internal and voicemail calls, click the Delete Internal and Voicemail
icon.
This will open a calendar window. Select a date from the calendar. This will delete all records of internal and voicemail calls before the specified date. Click Yes to delete the records.
