Create a New Phone Number Group

CallData also supports organizing multiple phone numbers into groups. By grouping phone numbers together, you can run reports and create invoices for each group. This is particularly useful when a single contact or a company has more than one phone number and you want to track or invoice the contact/company.

Note:

Only external phone numbers can be assigned to Phone Number Groups.

 

Create a New Phone Number Group

From the main menu, go to File -> New -> Phone Number Group to open up the New Phone Number Group window. Enter a unique ID (group ID)and a name (Group Name) for the new group and click Save to create the new group.

Add a Phone Number to a Group

After you have created the group, you can now add phone numbers to the group.

 

From the main menu go to Tools > Phone Number Grouping. Right-click on the appropriate group and select Add Number to Group. Enter the phone number in the window and click Yes to add the phone number to the group.

You can also add a phone number directly from most reports by right-clicking on a phone number and selecting Add Number to Group. This will open a window where you can select an existing group to add the phone number to, or you can enter a new Group ID to create a new group.

 

In this example, the phone number (210) 404-7931 would be added to the group named 'Group1' .
